"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ to them….
But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women."
Faith must always precede baptism. This is why the teaching of infant baptism is an error.
Because baptism is when our sins are forgiven and we become saved, baptism was always part of the message of the kingdom of God!
This section further reinforces Christ’s declaration to Nicodemus that one cannot enter the kingdom of God unless one is “born of the water and the Spirit.” (John 3:5)
